On September 15th 2012, the day after playing Rachmaninov's Paganini Rhapsody with the Ulster Orchestra in the great Waterfront Concert Hall in Belfast, Peter Donohoe joins his colleague from student days, conductor Robert Chasey and his Bolton Symphony Orchestra in the excellent Albert Hall Bolton for a performance of Rachmaninov's Third Concerto. The Belfast concert is conducted by newly appointed music director Jo Ann Falletta and will be recorded for broadcast by BBC Radio 3. His third performance with the Bolton Symphony follows his appearances in recent years when he played Tchaikovsky's Second Concerto and Bliss's Piano Concerto in Manchester's Bridgwater Hall. His long association with the Ulster Orchestra stretches back over 30 years, and has included several recordings on CD. For more info on the Belfast concert click here!
