In the summer of 1988 Peter Donohoe was the 'Castaway' (guest) on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs - one of BBCs longest-running programs, dating back to 1942. On Monday, September 3 2012, he will take part in a Henry Wood Promenade Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Desert Island Discs. He will play the first movement of Beethoven's Emperor Concerto - the first piece of classical music he ever got to know at the age of 5, and the piece he chose as his first for his desert island.
The concert is sold-out, although there may of course be returns. However, listen to concert streamed in the Internet and on BBC Radio 3 or BBC TV 4. For further information go to http://t.co/yHdcRGjm and http://t.co/sS8kJ4xU
